Jacob Ronald Mecham (born 2000) is an American professional soccer player who is currently a free agent.

Career

Youth and college

Mecham played youth soccer for Las Vegas Heat FC until 2016, before playing with the Portland Timbers academy in 2017.[1] Ahead of the 2018 NCAA Division I men's soccer season, he committed to play college soccer for the UNLV Rebels.[1] Mecham played two seasons with UNLV, making 38 total appearances, scoring once. During the 2019–20 offseason, Mecham transferred to the University of Denver, where he made 48 appearances, scoring once.[1]

Ahead of the 2019 USL League Two season, Mecham played with Capital Timbers, making five appearances for the club.[2]

Ahead of the 2023 USL League One season, Mecham signed a contract with the Richmond Kickers.[3] Mecham made his professional debut with the Kickers on March 25, 2023; coming on in the 71st minute for Matt Bentley in a 1–0 away victory at Greenville Triumph.[4] He finished his rookie season in USL League One with 21 appearances and one goal for Richmond. At the end of the rookie season, his contract option was declined.[5]
